Technical records should help the recipient know which packaging the document is applying to. Multiple certifications in one folder are not enough if they are not linked to the code, materials, and finished product version.
Categorize by packaging code
Each packaging code should have a description, dimensions, drawings and component list. Associate material codes with suppliers and approval samples. Distinguish empty box information from packaging used for a product.

Identify who is legally responsible
PPWR has technical documentation requirements and declarations of conformity in Annexes VII and VIII. The parties need to correctly determine their legal roles, instead of inferring the responsible party just from the name "printer" on the contract.
Do not manually add CE marking or a general compliance label just because a PPWR record exists. Labeling must be based on regulations applicable to the specific product and packaging.
Change management as part of records
When changing paper, adhesive, coating or supplier, clearly state the change. Confirm which documents are still representative and which parts need to be re-evaluated. Keeping the old size does not mean that the entire old profile is still suitable.
Create controllable shares
Unify the language, format, and focal points shared with guests. Use a status list to let recipients know the current version; Avoid sending multiple unspecified versions.
Is raw material certification enough?
Raw material certification is an input and does not by itself cover all requirements of the finished product. It is necessary to compare the scope of documents with the correct intended use.
