Quantity indicates the mass of one square meter of paper, usually expressed in g/m² or gsm. This parameter helps compare materials, but is not enough to determine thickness or load-bearing capacity. When choosing paper for retail bags, you need to look at the same size, bottom and strap attachment.
Start with the heaviest order commonly encountered
Weigh a complete order, including box and accessories. Choose both a common recipe and a common heavy recipe to try. Folding shirt bags and shoe box bags have different load distribution, even though they use the same type of paper.
Compare samples of the same structure
Make two or three samples keeping the same size, strap style and reinforcement, just changing the paper. Place the same set of items in each sample to see how the bag body, bottom, and top change. This comparison helps identify the effectiveness of quantitative increases.
| Observe | Question to be resolved |
|---|---|
| The bag body is sagging | Is the hardness or bottom space not suitable? |
| The mouth is torn around the handle | Are the attachment and reinforcement points correct? |
| Folds are white | Are the materials and styling methods compatible? |
Record test results to select samples
Before testing, agree on the weight, holding time and method of lifting the bag. Record the paper code, capture the deformation position and save the selected pattern. If a model holds the load well but is too stiff and difficult to open at the counter, you need to consider the convenience of packing.
Only declare load bearing capacity when there are test results of correct bag specifications and usage conditions. Do not convert directly from gsm to the number of kilograms you can carry.
When is it necessary to increase dosage?
Quantity can be increased when the bag body is not hard enough. If the bag is torn around the strap or the seams are loose, you should check the reinforcement location and processing method first; Adding paper to the entire bag may not have resolved the error.
