The paper box quote needs to clearly show the material, size, insert and delivery method. Same box name but different structure may lead to different costs. Before comparing prices, check whether the options meet the same needs or not.
Separate the initial cost and the cost per box
Ask whether the cost of making samples, molds or prints is calculated separately or included in the unit price. Confirm the amount that can be reused and the conditions for renewal. Changing box size often requires revisiting the mold; Changing content may also incur printing costs.
| Cost group | Questions to ask |
|---|---|
| Materials | Are paper codes, cores, inserts and accessories enough? |
| Print and finish | Color number, printing surface, effect and position? |
| Machining | Delivered flat, pre-assembled or need to be built at the warehouse? |
| Logistics | Packaging, taxes, shipping and delivery? |
Compare quotes on the same delivery status
Compare boxes in the same delivery state: flat or ready, with tray or not. If an option requires self-installation, add that labor and time to the cost. Clearly state the parts not included in the price.
Calculate costs based on the number of boxes put into use
Illustrative example: total cost of 30 million VND for 4,800 boxes put into use, equivalent to 6,250 VND/box. This is not a SquareBag quote. Add installation costs or error costs if they are not included in the total.
Reduce costs while keeping the main goal
You can try reducing the residual size, sharing trays or removing less necessary effects. If the paper or structure is changed, it is necessary to review the fit and protection. A lower price is not necessarily beneficial when the box is difficult to erect.
Is the quote valid for a long time?
Confirm quote deadline, delivery schedule, taxes, shipping and material replacement conditions. Keep the specification version so that the next time you order, you will know which product the price applies to.
